On a rocky hill protruding from the slopes of Mount Golec, above the village of Branik, the mighty castle, one of the oldest in Slovenia, has reigned for centuries. The ancient walls of the castle, in the middle of which a magnificent tower rises to the sky, catch the eye of the traveller passing through the area.

Debela Griža near the village of Volčji Grad is the remains of a mighty fortified ring dating back to the Bronze and Iron Ages. It is located on slightly elevated terrain, north-west of today's Volčji Grad. It is 290 metres long at its longest and 180 metres at its widest. Its circumference of 770 metres covers approximately 4,2 hectares.

In Tomaj, on the main road between Sežana and Nova Gorica, is the Kosovel Homestead, where the famous Slovenian avant-garde poet Srečko Kosovel lived with his family. In the house, you can admire partially preserved personal objects and furnishings of the poet and his family.

The purpose of the Military Museum Tabor is to collect, record, preserve and present the movable cultural heritage of recent Slovenian history, with an emphasis on Primorska. It is located in the Tabor defence tower, which was built in 1487 and is a cultural monument of national importance and is owned by the Municipality of Sežana.
Fabiani Museum Store in Lokev was founded in 1869 and was in continuous operation until 1948. It has been preserved as it was, but today it is a unique museum that invites you to take a journey through the history of trade and tells the story of the Fabiani family. It is the only fully preserved shop from the first half of the 20th century in Slovenia.
Castle of Rovinj is the private residence of the Princes della Torre in Tasso (von Thurn und Taxis) and has been open to the public since 1 July 2003. From March to the end of October it is open every day except Tuesdays.
